I loved the original story and was happy when Mercedes Lackey, Eric Flint and Dave Freer starting writing in this universe with The Wizard of Karres.
Sorceress is written by Eric Flint and Dave Freer. The authors keep close to the original author’s style so reading this book was a pleasure. Watching Pausert and Goth grow and learn about each other has been so interesting.
This book takes us into some of the unexplained parts of the universe created by James H. Schmitz in The Witches of Karres. Sorceress tells us more about the Chalador – one of the most dangerous places to travel to. Even the mighty Karres witches stay out of Chalador, however Pausert heads into it at their request. With his trademark landings and take offs, it’s a surprise when he manages to do it more then once.
Whilst Pausert is heading into the Chalador and facing near certain death, Goth is learning more about Pausert’s past and doing some growing up along the way. This is one young lady who knows what man she wants and will do everything necessary to protect him.
This is a series that I hope has many more stories waiting to be written.
